\"I just wanted to pop on here to say thank you, and goodbye. My kids are 6 and 3 now and have both been weaned following your advice and techniques etc. We have two total foodies who are adventurous and confident with their eating. They will try anything and everything, no matter where we are. They learn to follow their own cues from their bodies and frequently amaze staff at their childcare/schools. I've passed your account onto dozens of Mum friends, and I'm saying goodbye only coz I'm trying to reduce the number of accounts i follow. You are absolutely fab and have been a rock for me over the past 6 years. Thanks for guiding me through the journey! From a Mum of two who had fish pie, capers and okra for dinner tonight!\"

She's allergic to eggs...
Published 2 months ago • 3 min read
Hey Reader,
We've been re-posting our journey of following our 60 Day Baby Led Feeding Meal Plan with my neice, Aila, and this week we posted her Day 9 and Day 10 meal experiences.
BOY we were in for an adventure that week, as we introduced eggs for the first time and second time, and low and behold...
She was allergic.
I don't know why but at the time I went into the meals thinking she just wasn't going to be allergic to anything, and yet, almost instantly the second time around when introducing the eggs, she broke out in hives.
Good news is, we still worked our way through 4 new foods and crossed off her first allergen from our 115 first foods checklist.
Aila's mom loves that she can track not just what foods she's been introduced to and how many times, but also that she can cross off allergens and that all foods that contain a top allergen are color-coded to be able to easily identify them (ie. yogurt, cheddar cheese, and butter are all colored blue, to make sure the fact that it's a top allergen is never missed).
Here's what one mama had to say about the confidence she gained watching Aila's journey!
I just want to say that watching Aila's journey on Instagram was the thing that gave me the most confidence as a first time parent on the baby led weaning journey. I had done lots of reading, followed other accounts, added the Solid Starts app, etc., but seeing the process (with your commentary) of how babies learn to move food around, chew, swallow and gag was the most helpful thing. It also helped me to stay calm and know what to do when my babe had allergic reactions to some high allergen foods. I recommend you all the time in parenting groups when people ask about feeding resources. My babe is now a 16 month old and continues to be such a good little eater! :)
